What is the effect of engine valve clearance?
The effects of large engine valve clearance are as follows:
1. If the engine valve clearance is too large, it will cause abnormal sound of metal knocking, and may leave traces on the rocker arm, valve stem, etc;
2. It causes abnormal noise that cannot be eliminated. Large valve clearance will also reduce the intake and exhaust volume, which will affect the power and other performance of the engine;
3. If the valve clearance of the engine is too small, the valve will not close tightly, resulting in cylinder leakage, insufficient compression, unstable idle speed, power drop, weak acceleration, backfire or exhaust pipe firing, easy flameout, increased fuel consumption, etc. Faults may also wear out valve rocker arms and camshafts.
